Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
Our mom is truly a miracle. She has been battling terminal lung cancer that has metastasized to her liver with unmatched strength and determination, defying every odd placed in her path. Her doctor shared that she is the only person in the world to remain on this specific type of chemotherapy for as long as she has—most are unable to tolerate the side effects or sadly do not survive. Even more incredible, she is the only known person to have lived this long with this form of cancer.
Her journey hasn’t been easy. She has survived multiple pulmonary embolisms (blood clots in her lungs), endured numerous hospital stays, battled COVID four times, pushed through countless bouts of pneumonia, and overcome a difficult struggle with C. diff. Most recently, she had a small stroke, during which doctors discovered the cancer had spread to her brain. She will now begin radiation treatment for this area while taking a temporary pause from chemotherapy.
Despite everything, she continues to fight with grace, stay strong, and remain positive. She inspires everyone who knows her. Right now, she just needs a little help financially to get through this difficult time.
We are raising funds to help cover essentials like catching up on rent, installing a handrail on the porch to help with balance, and making safety-related repairs around the house. We're also hoping to get her a more compact, mobile oxygen concentrator, as the larger ones are now too difficult for her to manage on her own.
Any amount you're able to give will help improve her comfort, safety, and peace of mind as she continues this fight. Your generosity, prayers, and love mean everything to our family. Thank you for supporting this incredible woman and being a part of her journey. ❤️
