Hey family and friends, we have some exciting news to share with you. We are going to Thailand and Cambodia this November and December. The dates that we are leaving are November 14 through December 1st.
Our trip consists of 2 full days of travel, 12 days in Thailand, and 4 days in Cambodia.
We are going to join in with friends Jake and Mimi Page in Thailand for more than half of our trip. There in Thailand, we will join them in attending and volunteering at their school. We will join in with their daily routine as our friends are teachers at this school. We will be linking arms with the local breast milk bank in donating our daughter’s breast milk, getting in touch with a few orphanages in the area by giving breast milk to orphans, and filling the need in the local red light district by giving mothers breast milk for their babies (babies who have been conceived out of situations that involve sex trafficking/prostitution, etc.).
We are so ready to see the need and fill it with what we can give by how God has been calling us to go “out.” In being in Thailand, we will be visiting babies that don’t have families, babies that do but have extreme conditions, and babies that do have families but are in need. All of them are vastly different but all have something in common—they are in need.
We will then meet our friends in Cambodia who have been missionaries there for the last two years. We will attend their school as well and be able to volunteer and join in their daily routine. Our friends, Kody and Karinda, are a teacher and the one over the maintenance of the school. We look forward to being a part of the classroom and Connor being a part of the maintenance of the building, seeing what they need to make it better and more suitable for the students and those working.
We are so ready to go and see how Jesus comes in every moment and touches. We know that by one touch, everything changes. We see that with the woman with the issue of blood—we see that with the Samaritan woman when His heart touched hers—we see that with the leper who was cleansed—and we personally are walking this now. By His touch, by who He is, by the longing in us meeting the longing in Him, we are here.
1 John 1:5, “Jesus is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.”
You have our yes.
Come Lord Jesus, come to Thailand and Cambodia.
