50 Dogs to be euthanized- unless we can find them homes
Donation protected
Marcia Hass, 80, from Missoula, Montana has rescued hundreds of abandoned street dogs in her 30 years in Mexico. Now due to ill health, she has to close down her shelter and 50 happy and healthy dogs face being put down.
Marcia’s dog shelter is the only rescue operation in the town of Tepoztlán, 90 minutes south of Mexico City. Her shelter is unique as the dogs live on her property in a loving home environment.
Initially it was thought there were enough funds to support Marcia and her dogs for up to a year, but it’s come to light that there are not enough funds to cover her illness as well as the upkeep and rehoming of the dogs.

A small team of experienced volunteers has stepped up to help rehome as many dogs as possible, but in a country with high levels of animal cruelty and neglect, our best chance of finding furever homes is in the US and Canada.
Help us keep Marcia's dogs alive and find good homes by making a donation today.
If we hit our first GoFundMe target we can continue to run the shelter and keep rehoming the dogs for a few more weeks.
You can follow the dogs' journey on @mexdogs on Instagram
Thank you for joining our dedicated team in order to save Marcia’s dogs – and help us by sharing this GoFundMe widely with friends, family and on social media.
