Abu Qatadah reported:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best of what a man leaves behind are three: (Sunan ibn Majah)

1) A righteous child who supplicates for him,

2) Ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him (Sadaq e Jariyah)

3) Knowledge that is acted upon after him.”
