Welcome to our love story!

Alex and I met in a Facebook group for single people who shared a love for Sleep Token (a band if you haven’t heard of them lol) and other similar interests.

We were both at a pinnacle transition point in our lives. To put it lightly, we’d all but given up on the notion of finding our forever person.

Then, one day he posted anonymously in the group, and I commented having no clue who he was, what he looked like, anything about him… he private messaged me after a few days and we have talked every single day since. We have never felt this connection that we have with each other, with someone else.

He is my other half - we finish each other's thoughts, are most times on the same thought wavelength. We love the same music, food, movies… essentially he is the reason it never worked out with anyone else. I wouldn’t have wanted it to. He is my person.

The unfortunate part of our relationship is that it is EXTREMELY long distance. I’m in America, he’s in Australia.

He recently spent 3 weeks here with me in Georgia, and I am planning a visit to Australia in June for our birthday (he’s the 7th, I’m the 17th).

We are also planning to get married within the next year or so - all which comes with the red tape of applying for citizenship and visas, travel expenses, wedding (YAYAYAY) expenses. It all adds up. It’s so much.

We thought maybe starting a GoFundMe and just putting it out into the world couldn’t hurt - to help with any cost related to this journey, first and foremost my trip out to meet his family in June.

I know that times are hard for everyone - nothing is cheap, everything is sky high. If you can give even $5 to go towards our goal for this next year's adventure of our love story, we would be more appreciative than you know.
