Five dedicated, local area athletes from El Paso have qualified for the prestigious Junior Gold Championships being conducted in Indianapolis, Indiana July 14-22. The Junior Gold Championships is the pinnacle event in youth bowling. However, our athletes are in need of your support to help defray the sizeable costs associated with participating in this tournament.
The Junior Gold Championships is not just any bowling tournament; it is the pinnacle achievement for youth bowlers across the nation. This event brings together thousands of young athletes competing in various divisions and serves as a steppingstone for their future bowling careers, offering exposure to college recruiters and industry professionals. One of the most inspiring aspects of Junior Gold is the scholarships it awards to the participants. Over the 25-year history of this tournament, millions of dollars of scholarships have been awarded to assist talented athletes in pursuing their dreams with over $650,000 being awarded in 2022.
In addition to the scholarship opportunities, over 70 colleges and universities will be onsite actively recruiting Junior Gold athletes for their bowling programs. Our athletes will have the opportunity to meet and interact with coaches and recruiters during the College Expo as part of Junior Gold.
Participation in Junior Gold emphasizes sportsmanship, camaraderie and personal growth. Participants learn valuable life skills such as discipline, perseverance and goal-setting that extend beyond the bowling lanes. Our athletes have dedicated hours to training and development and have demonstrated a genuine passion for the sport. By supporting our athletes, you not only contribute to their journey but also help inspire a generation of young athletes who strive to achieve their dreams.
We are kindly requesting your support through a financial contribution to help cover our athletes’ travel expenses, including airfare, accommodations, rental car and meals. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a significant impact in their journey.
With great appreciation,
Brandon Etse, Brendon Etse, Jonathan Fonseca, Kloey Kielich and Ayla Taylor.
