The reason Girlfarm exists is a long and winding story but it is because of Natalie Sellers that I, wendy Baroli, sold my first beautiful perfect pears. Chef Sellers love of food, Carols dedication to creating an exquisite front of the house atmosphere, craft cocktails before they were a "thing", and a staff that made every diner feel like like they were so very special.
Being in debt is a thing most small business deals with but with no way to recover a debt while still trying to operate under the constraints of COVID-19 have created havoc for so many many important businesses that have opened doors in our community. Fourth Street Bistro has led the way in exacting detail and dedication to local food, farmers, and quietly given Reno a reputation beyond the casino and fast food fare. I might be so bold in saying the quiet dedication helped bring the rest of the amazing food choices we have in Reno today by creating expectations.
5.00, 10.00, 100.00 - whatever it is you think you can offer - this is one of those local institutions that would be a huge loss that rolls into all our lives - from the staff, the other chefs in her kitchen, to every single small farmer she has pad homage to with our crops and livestock.
