My name is Jim Mang, I live in Cambria California. My wife and I started collecting food for the Morro Bay Coast Guard Station on January 12th, we were contacted by folks on January 14th and asked to open a GO Fund Me account so people could donate to our cause. we did, it has taken off with community support. we are also supported by the Morro Bay City Council. The funds so far have been used to purchase grocery gift cards for the crew members of the station. We are currently working the Stations Commander to make cash deposits directly into the crew moral fund so they can use the cash as they see fit. These monies are to be used to help these un paid federal workers survive. I have withdrawals set up weekly and once I have the money a check will be written into the account the coast guard desires. we have also collected over $1000.00 in groceries and an abundant supply of baby supplies, diapers, wipes ect.
