Hello, my name is Sof Bologna, and I’m a senior at DePaul University majoring in Film & TV with a concentration in Cinematography and minor in Music Business. I’m so excited to finally announce my first ever dance film and biggest passion project to date, directed and produced by me alongside my incredibly talented friend and Co-Director Stevie Gale (@steviegale_r).

This film is inspired by the song “GALA” by XG and will serve as a vibrant, expressive homage to Pride Month and the LGBTQIA+ community. Through movement, storytelling, and visual design, this project aims to celebrate queer identity, joy, resilience, and artistry while creating a cinematic experience that feels bold, emotional, and alive.

We are currently building our team and would love to collaborate with passionate creatives. Applications are now open for production crew, dancers, and drag performers.

This GoFundMe is dedicated entirely to bringing this project to life. Funds will go toward renting film equipment, securing filming locations, compensating our production crew, and providing meals and basic accommodations for our cast and crew during the production process. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for everyone involved.

If we exceed our fundraising goal, any remaining funds will be donated to local queer organizations to give back to the community that inspires this project.
