The Long Red Line – Pinkerton Academy Boys Cross Country Road to Nationals! ‍♂️

We are members of The Long Red Line, representing the Pinkerton Academy 2025 Cross Country Team from Derry, New Hampshire — and we’re proud to share that we just won the NH Division I State Championship!

This incredible season isn’t over yet. Our next goal is to compete at the Nike Cross Regional (NXR) meet and hopefully qualify for Nike Cross Nationals (NXN) - the national championship in Oregon that brings together the fastest high school cross country runners in the country.

What are NXR and NXN?

NXR (Nike Cross Regionals) is a postseason race series that brings together top high school runners from across the Northeast.

Teams and individuals compete for a chance to qualify for NXN (Nike Cross Nationals) - the premier national championship meet that showcases the best of the best.

Although we are proud Pinkerton Astros, participation in these postseason events must be done as an “unattached” team, separate from official school sponsorship. This means all expenses - including entry fees, travel, and uniforms - must be covered by the athletes and their families.

Our Long Red Line has trained relentlessly all season - pushing, encouraging, and sharpening one another as brothers do — iron sharpening iron. We’re ready to see how we stack up against the strongest runners in the region, and with your support, we can make it happen!

If we don’t qualify for NXN, funds raised may also be used to support participation in the New Balance RunningLane XC Championship in Huntsville, Alabama - another prestigious national meet where our runners can compete against the best in the country.
