Hello everyone! As many of you know, the end goal and hardest struggle for Koen has been transitioning him from a bottle to a sippy cup so he can get his cleft palate repaired. After 6 months, we have finally made the transition! And we have surgery scheduled in Louisiana on February 21st.

While this surgery will be done at the Shriners Hospital and they, so graciously, are paying for the surgery and a portion of travel costs, we have decided we are not comfortable driving 10 hours back home, away from the hospital 2 days after he gets surgery, so we have decided to stay there for a week. Because of this, Shriners will not be paying for all of the accommodations.

Greg and I have decided to reach out for a little help from you guys so we can get through this week, financially. The proceeds will go towards the remaining amount for our housing and food while we are there. While we don’t expect to reach our goal, anything is much appreciated and helpful. We also ask for prayers for Koen through his surgery and recovery.
