My husband and I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this and be part of our IVF journey. Never did we think at 30 years old we would be told we’re running out of time to grow our family. Since starting to try for a baby well over 2 years ago, the odds have been against us, and we had no clue.

After trying to conceive for a year with no success we finally took the steps to figure out what was going on by booking our first fertility appointment. We found out that my husband had a low sperm count and immediately started injections and medications to try and help. After 4 months and thousands of dollars later, nothing changed. Our doctor at the time told us we had no other options until his sperm count was “fixed,” so we took a step back from trying for a while.

Fast forward to this year, we booked a consultation with a new provider only to find out our last doctor completely misled us. We also found out that I was running out of eggs and almost in pre-menopause. In 2023, my AMH level was 0.98, which for my age was apparently low, but the doctor never even addressed it. They said they would not address anything with me until they “fixed” my husband. Fast forward to now, and my AMH had dropped to 0.59, which is much worse. Our new doctor says we will have to do multiple egg retrievals, which has been a huge shock to us. IVF is very expensive, but finding out we have to do multiple rounds starting ASAP has been a huge financial stress. Anyone who knows my husband and myself knows how hard writing this asking for help is, but time is unfortunately not on our side and we’ve exhausted all options.

We were quoted $32,500 to start, that doesn’t include the cost of medication which is thousands more. We’ve been able to save some money but we’re not quite where we need to be.

We truly appreciate any help as it will make this already stressful journey just a little less stressful.
