Hello there!

In July of 2020, we began trying for our second child. Seeing how easy it was with Aspen; we thought it would be the same experience- but we were wrong. 1 month turned into 3 months, then 6 months, 1 year… and so forth until now we are at 5 years of unsuccessful pregnancy. We have been through many tests, bloodwork draws, doctors, procedures, medications, and one surgery just to be told the same thing- “We do not know. Keep trying and it will happen soon.” Our official diagnoses is ‘Unexplained Secondary Infertility’. 

 

Throughout these 5 years we have been through nothing short of a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Our faith has been tested in more ways that we would have ever thought. It is especially hard when Aspen asks when he will get a brother or sister because all his friends have one. Many of his nighttime prayers are asking God for a baby brother or sister. The older he gets, the harder it is to see him upset and confused as to why he does not have a sibling.

 

We have decided after many prayers, discussions, and conversations to begin the process of IVF. We have been through the initial stages of bloodwork and consults and have been told everything looks good and the outcome looks promising. This is not a decision that comes lightly. We feel that God is leading us this direction and we know He is with us each step along the way.

 

How can you help?

First and foremost, we covet your prayers during this time. I will be the first to tell you that I am nervous. Hearing of the many shots, medications, and procedures that will be done is not for the faint of heart. We are asking that God’s will be done in this, and we are given the outcome of whatever is meant to be. 

 

Secondly, if you feel led to help in other ways, we have created this GoFund Me to help alleviate some of the financial burden that comes along with this process. Once diagnostic procedures have been completed, insurance will not cover any treatment. In addition, we will have to fly to another state for the egg retrieval and transfer. This means everything else is on us to pay out of pocket- medications, travel expenses, procedures, etc. This is not us asking for donations but simply allowing you to help in more ways if you feel led.
