One of our own needs help.

A dear friend from our community and nurse was involved in a devastating freeway accident. After being sideswiped, while attempting to help the occupants of the vehicle that hit her, she was struck by another vehicle getting onto the freeway. Over the course of the past week, she has undergone multiple surgeries, been on and off a ventilator, and is still in ICU. Luckily, it appears there is no brain damage at this time.

She's a single mother, the sole provider for her two children, and now faces a long road to recovery, extended physical therapy, months out of work, and mounting medical bills. On top of that, she still has to manage rent, utilities, and daily expenses to keep her kids safe and under a roof.
