Support Our Home's Flood Recovery

On Monday, September 16th, our house was flooded from the unexpected amount of rain that fell during the unnamed tropical. In the middle of the night, I packed up what I could for myself and my three dogs and evacuated to safety. When I returned the next morning, I was shocked to see how high the flood waters rose. Upon entering the house, I saw water throughout almost every room, with significant flooding in the garage, master bedroom/bath, and closet.

Now that the waters have receded, we are starting the restoration process and asking for help. The restoration process involves removing any flood-damaged furniture and items, replacing the entire floor, cutting into the drywall, spraying for mold and bacteria, then after those processes are complete, we start to rebuild. While we do have flood insurance, I am working with contractors and making deposits so that they can begin their work immediately, however, we will have to wait until insurance pays out to get anything back.
