Support Our Heroes: SAR Training Fundraiser

My name is Jason McDonald. I am 48 years old and live in Aurora, Colorado. On September 21, 2024, I fell while hiking the Appalachian Trail in New Hampshire. I sustained a very serious ankle injury which made walking impossible. I activated my Spot SOS emergency button and called 911. A very large search and rescue unit led by New Hampshire Fish & Game was coordinated and responded to my location. The SAR teams were able to safely carry me down the mountain over 3,000 vertical feet over extremely rocky, dangerous terrain. I was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital in Berlin, NH where I was treated for my broken left ankle. The SAR teams saved my life. These brave men and women largely operate on a volunteer basis. I want to raise money for them to assist with training and equipment. 75% of the donated funds will be given to New Hampshire Fish & Game SAR teams. 25% will help me with extensive medical bills and recovery.
