Support Central Florida Healthcare Workers/First Responders & Restaurants
This is an unprecedented time. We live with uneasiness and conflict – we feel the need to do something, ANYTHING, yet we feel stuck – at home, at our computers, in front of our televisions. We are awed by stories of heroism and selflessness, yet devastated by stories of overwhelming struggle in communities around the country. Hopefully, through it all, we remain diligent in our gratitude for all that we have, remembering that as long as we are healthy, everything else will eventually fall into place.
Recently, we were inspired by a friend in South Florida and her action in this time of relative inaction (for most of us). A way to thank all of these amazing healthcare workers, who are fighting every day on the frontlines of this battle, while supporting local restaurants at the same time. There is nothing like sitting down for a good meal when you are working tirelessly, both physically and emotionally drained. Additionally, placing bulk orders with local restaurants is a great way to support our community. To that end, let’s get these amazing nurses and doctors some delicious food to show our appreciation and let’s help these restaurants and their employees get through this trying time.
With your donations, we will coordinate with local restaurants for the ordering and delivery of breakfasts, lunches, or dinners for healthcare workers at various Central Florida hospitals.
Please understand that we have coordinated with the hospitals directly to adhere to their guidelines. Please do not drop off food individually.
Together, we are one in the fight against COVID-19, and together, we will win.
