Our friend Geri needs our help!
Geri is the school secretary at Western Hills Elementary and has served the Omaha Public Schools for 15 years. This awesome and kind 66-year-old mother of 6 (with several grandkids, too!) is an invaluable member of our school's staff and the community. She keeps the school machine running smoothly and is always doing things for others. Geri is such a wonderful partner to her coworkers and the families who make up our school community.
For the last 10 years, she has driven an old 1993 Chevy truck with 245,000 miles on it. The truck doesn't have heat (or a radio) and finally gave out last week. Geri doesn't have the resources to buy a replacement vehicle or even afford a tune-up (which would be a temporary fix).
Geri is close to retirement, suffers from foot related health issues, and the strain of figuring out a way to and from work is a burden we don't want her to have to take on. She needs our help!
We are looking to raise money for a good used car plus the accompanying licensing fees. We think that with $5,000 we can get Geri back on the road. She does so much for others - we want to be there for her in her time of need. Please give what you can. Even $5 or $10 will get us closer to our goal.
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
The Geri Dunn Admiration Society! (led by Ann Dirks, Denise Powell and friends)
