Bentley's Emergency Surgeries
Donation protected
Hi there, friends and family!
Bentley recently went into emergency surgery on 7/15 to get two foreign objects out of his intestines and stomach. One object was in his stomach, and the other was extremely twisted in his intestines.
From the initial surgery, Bentley formed a seroma in his abdomen. That seroma has since turned into an abscess that burst on (8/1). Due to these complications, and many more, Bentley has had to have another surgery to clear out dead tissue as well have a drain put into his abscess to keep the dead tissue draining.
Since having the drain, we’ve had to undergo cultures of the fluid in his abscess and have found out there are antibiotic resistance bacteria in his gut.
He’s had multiple stays overnight with the great doctors and vet techs watching over him when we were not enough. Obviously, this was a huge expense that I chose to sign off on for his safety and wellbeing, but if anyone would like to help out in any way, it would be greatly appreciated but not in any way expected.
Again, thank you to the doctors, vet techs, and family that have been with us every step of this very scary journey. We aren’t out of the woods, but hopefully will continue to head in the right direction.
