Support Karen's Road to Recovery

Hello Friends,

If you are reading this, there is a strong chance that Karen Tynes has impacted your life in some way. One of the most dynamic people you'll ever meet, Karen's huge heart and deep love for family, community, and children has been a light in our community for many years. Although she is never one to ask for help, unfortunately a time has come when I must ask it for her.

On Friday, September 20th, Karen suffered a stroke while volunteering at her granddaughter's school. This incident came on quickly and Karen was rushed to the hospital, where she is receiving ongoing care. After two surgeries, Karen is currently responsive and we as her family and friends are extremely hopeful that she will have a positive outcome from this situation. If you know Karen, you are aware of her strength of spirit--if anyone can overcome such an event, it's her.

My name is Madina Khan, and Karen is a dear friend of mine and my family's. I write to you as someone who loves her wholeheartedly, and who knows firsthand what an incredible person she is, and how much she does every single day for her community. We all know that times are difficult right now, but if there is any way that you can donate to help support Karen and her two beautiful granddaughters during this time, it would be so appreciated. We hope to help cushion the burden of medical bills, sustain them during this challenging period of rest and transformation, and to help their family move forward once Karen has made a full recovery. From her years of volunteer work at the Cotati-Rohnert Park Co-Op Nursery School, to her steadfast and loyal friendship to anyone in need, to her loving and supportive care of her family, Karen Tynes is someone who deserves the utmost care and best treatment available in her time of need.
