Help Support Josh’s Kidney Transplant and Recovery
Donation protected
Our friend Josh has been battling Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease and IGAN Berger’s disease for 2 years now and is finally getting his transplant on January 14th.
This is a massive blessing and a huge answer of prayer. Josh has had an incredible attitude through his entire diagnosis and has remained positive through everything but it’s been an incredibly difficult time for him and his family.
Josh has been out of work for the past 2 years as he’s been battling this disease. He’s at the Brighams Hospital in Boston (90 minute drive each way) 2-3x a week for the past 18 months. To put that in perspective he’s been diagnosed for 775 days and has had 387 visits to the Brighams.
The road to recovery has been an incredibly difficult journey financially on himself and his mother who has been his care-giver during this battle.
We wanted to re-start this go-fundme to help ease the burden of the gas and parking and expenses that come with his recovery.
After his surgery, Josh will be in the hospital for 5-7 days and then will be allowed to come home and begin his recovery. His mother, who is his primary care-giver will be out of work for the next month in order to drive him to and from the hospital in Boston multiple times a week and his brother Christian will also be there to help as well. It is important that Joshua has support around the clock during this time.
Asking for help is never easy, especially since so many have helped support him the last time we did a gofundme in 2023. If you can donate and help Josh and his family get through these next couple of months we greatly appreciate it. We can’t thank you enough for all the support, love and care you’ve given him through all of this.
