My name is Stephon Harris, and I am just one of many friends of Jordan Tilman. Last year, in November 2024, our friend Jordan Tilman was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. Nasopharyngeal cancer is a rare head and neck cancer that develops in the nasopharynx, the upper throat passageway behind the nose. The doctor said this was most likely caused by a virus called the Epstein-Barr Virus (which is a form of mono).
At first, the doctor thought it was at an early stage, but upon further testing, it looked to be nearing the stage 4 category... Tilman is only 25 years old.
Since the diagnosis in November, Tilman has seen many specialists to determine a plan. He started a 9-week chemotherapy and radiation cycle on December 31st. Through these first couple of appointments, Tilman was moving right along, but on January 28th, Tilman had a setback; he was hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs along with an infection. This is just a bump in the road. It hasn’t been the easiest, and Tilman knows how much of an uphill battle it is, but he is a warrior and a fighter, and he has all of his friends and family with him.
Amidst all the appointments, treatments, and setbacks, Tilman hasn’t been able to work. So far, Tilman and his girlfriend (Deborah) have no financial support as they have just been trying to get the treatment plans and actual appointments taken care of. After all his initial appointments, first round of treatments, and now the hospital stay, all of their finances will come solely from Deborah working, and of course, she has taken days off to be with him. They have made sure to take care of his bills and expenses up to this point, but now it has been starting to get harder, especially with the different nutrition needs, medications, and other things he has needed.
All of his friends, family, coworkers, and anybody he has impacted are kindly asking for any donations. If donating isn’t possible, sharing the link holds just as much power.
Tilman, we love you and you are in all of our thoughts and prayers ❤️
