In the many twists of life, our friend Amy Thone has been hit by a tough one. Amy was driving to work last week when another driver made an illegal turn and crashed into Amy's car. Amy's car was sent into a telephone pole. The other driver fled from the scene - a hit and run. Amy's car is totaled, and her kneecap fractured into three pieces. Surgery is required and scheduled for next week. It will be what the surgeon called a "tricky" one given the breaks. The recovery time is estimated at 4 - 6 months. Amy's insurance covers only a portion of the medical costs.

While she will still be able to teach, Amy will not be able to give massages. Additionally, "An lliad," the one-person play she was slotted to do in January and

February at Strawberry Theatre Workshop, must be postponed until a later time. All this adds up to a loss of two-thirds of her usual income.

We are reaching out to our community for support. As we all know by now, $10, $20, $50 donations add up. If we all give what we can it will of course make a huge difference for Amy as she engages in this challenging road to recovery.
