Life has felt heavy lately. Between school, work, finances, and everything happening in the world, it’s easy to forget what it feels like to just sit down and laugh. That’s why I, along with Stephanie and Alexis, am making our first comedic short film, 'Dude, Let’s Smoke.' This project is our love letter to those rare moments of release—the times you try to relax with your best friend and somehow, everything goes wrong. It’s about friendship, chaos, and finding humor in the mess of everyday life.
Inspired by "That 70's Show" and "Pineapple Express," this is just one of those films where you can sit down and laugh. We’re producing a comedic short film written and directed by Stephanie Villalobos and Alexis Velasquez. Yes, women are funny. Even if you haven’t partaken in the Devil’s lettuce, we can all recall moments of relaxation that turned to complete chaos. Sometimes, enjoyable chaos is just what we need. Our characters—Tyler, Aidan, Anton, and Emily—each bring their own quirks and charm to the story, making it relatable and fun for everyone.
Your support helps us turn this passion project into something real. Every dollar goes directly toward creating a safe and professional set, paying our cast and crew fairly, designing a believable dorm room world, renting equipment to make the film look cinematic, feeding and transporting our team, and submitting to festivals so this story can reach audiences everywhere. When you donate, you’re not just funding a short film. You’re supporting independent artists, women in comedy, and stories that exist simply to make people smile. All donations are greatly appreciated, regardless of their size. Thank you for supporting our film, and thank you for supporting women filmmakers. With appreciation, Taylor, Stephanie, and Alexis
