Support Our Fight to Stay in Our Home

Donation protected

I’m fundraising for myself and my fur babies to help me to stay in our home. My wife stepped out of our marriage recently and now is insisting that our home go on the market and sold so she can have her market share. I need to raise enough money to pay her off so we can stay in our very affordable home and not have to sell it. I’m looking and hoping for a miracle.

I am a senior at 66 years of age and disabled. Additionally, I am sick and on oxygen 24 hours a day and I sleep with a machine that helps to fill my lungs deeper with oxygen as I sleep. I have a chairlift that moves me up and down the stairs and a scooter that gets me around. I have all the equipment necessary and installed to continue my life here. I am not able to live a normal life, which itself is devastating. My illness keeps me at home 95% of the time and I have no family here for support or help.

Should my house have to be sold me and my babies would have no place to live. I am retired and on a fixed income and even with my share if sold, it would not allow me to purchase another home that I could afford. Prices and interest rates are very high and this would be making my payment much higher than the payment I currently have on my home as discovered by my realtor. Also, rental prices are extremely high and also much higher than my mortgage payment that I currently have. They also state in their listings, no animals and no cats.

I have 7 fur babies, 4 of which live inside with me and 3 strays that live in my garage. The garage door is left open about four inches during the day and at night after dinner the door is closed for the evening and they sleep peacefully. I have been taking care of them for a number of years by housing, feeding, warming them or cooling them, loving them and keeping them safe from coyotes. They are truly a part of my family. I was able with the help of the Humane Society (bless them) to get the two males fixed to prevent more babies to have to grow up without a home and love. The third a female was already spayed as indicated by her already tipped ear. All my life while I was able bodied I would go out every night for years and feed the homeless cats and rescue ones that I was able to. I was always happy with pure joy, especially knowing they were so grateful as all 74 showed up night after night at 8 different locations. I rescued some and another would show up to take their place. Then I got sick and abruptly had to stop going to take care of them. That broke my heart and so I prayed to God that someone would take my place and continue with them. I understand someone did, bringing me some peace about leaving them. God also didn’t stop there he eventually brought 3 of them to my home (Not as many) Lol, and I love them deeply and my heart won’t allow me to throw them back into that life and leave them trying to survive if I’m forced to move. We all live here in our home quietly and loving it. We take care of each other. Will you please, please help us to stay?

I have prayed and prayed to God for guidance and God has given me this strength to ask for help. It’s a big ask, I know and I will be thoroughly, thoroughly grateful and blessed for any help I may receive to help me and my babies to stay right here in a home we love and can afford. Thank you so much. God bless
