Friday night, as we were spending time together and playing games as a family, we had no way of knowing our entire life would change in the span of a couple of hours. Thankfully, everyone is safe!
At 2:30 am, we were woken up to the sound of smoke detectors blaring. And within seconds, we heard someone pounding on the front door, ringing the doorbell, and Moose barking. The entire backside of our house (our bedroom) was engulfed in flames. Dwayne and I sprang up, got the kids, ourselves, and Moose out. We had guardians watching over us. The kids were kept warm in a good Samaritan’s car and safe since we all ran out in our PJs. We have lost all of our clothes, furniture, and most pictures.
If you are able to help us as we try to find temporary housing and start to build our lives back up, we would be so thankful. Even just sharing with others would be appreciated! Thank you so much to all of you and to all of the first responders and neighbors that helped us this morning.
