I’m reaching out during a moment where our family needs to come together quickly.

My mom is currently dealing with a serious medical situation, and as things have progressed, it’s become clear that the best next step is for us to move into a shared home so we can help care for her and support her day-to-day needs. This move will allow us to be present, consistent, and make sure she has the care and stability she needs.

The challenge is timing.

To make this move happen quickly, we’re facing several upfront costs all at once—deposit, first month’s rent, lease fees, and moving expenses—which total around $5,000–$7,000.

Normally, I would cover something like this myself, but I recently used my savings to purchase a reliable vehicle, and I’m trying to avoid dipping into my retirement savings. I also don’t want to put the weight of this on any one family member.

We are doing everything we can on our end:

I’m running a deep sale in my vintage shop

I’m organizing an inventory clear-out sale with other vendors

We’re cutting expenses and pulling together what we can

This fundraiser is simply to help bridge the gap so we can make this move happen as quickly as possible and be there for my mom when she needs us most.
