We are a family of four who spent a year building our van by hand — it’s been our home, refuge, and source of countless memories as we traveled the Pan-American Highway. We sold everything to make this dream possible. When we stored the van safely in Costa Rica, we never imagined we wouldn’t be able to get it back. Now it’s stuck in customs, and we’re going through the legal process to bring it home, but the costs are far beyond what we expected to remove it from the country.
