Three years ago, I purchased a car from DriveTime. It was my first car I purchased on my own. At the time, I didn't fully understand how high the interest rate and total cost would become, and I ended up in a loan that has been much harder to manage than I ever expected.

Today, there are still three years left on that loan, and the car itself has slowly become more and more unreliable. It breaks down frequently, and I have reached a point where I'm worried about the safety of my husband, our toddler, and myself every time we have to get in it.

This car is currently our only way to get my husband to work, take our daughter to her medical appointments, and handle the basic things every family has to do like grocery shopping and running errands. Without it, we're stuck.

We're doing everything we can to pay this loan down as quickly as possible so we can move into a safer and more dependable vehicle for our family, something we can trust not to leave us stranded or unsafe like it has already done.
