Our first small market was a success! As we apply for more markets and start getting small orders our next goal in fundraising is to get a countertop convection oven to help us not only with oven space but tightening up our time spent rotating in and out of our oven.

I am currently pursuing a career in law enforcement, but I’ve chosen to put that path on hold so I can be home with our son Fox during these early years. My plan is to return to that career when he starts kindergarten in a couple of years. For now, being present with him while he’s little is my priority.

Recently, Jesse lost his job, and instead of giving up, we decided to finally pursue something we’ve dreamed about for years—starting a small home-based cottage food business together. Jesse will continue working to keep our family supported, and I’m starting this business to help supplement our income and build something of our own.

I’m launching De’Ja’s Delights, a cottage bakery focused on homemade cookies, cakes, and dog treats. Jesse is creating his own line of handcrafted roasted seasoned nuts, spices, and jams under our family brand. Our hope is that this grows into something bigger over time, but right now it’s a way to create, contribute, and stay present for Fox during these early years.

We’re asking for $500 to help cover cottage food licensing fees, initial supplies, packaging, and setup costs for our first couple of farmers markets and small pop-up events. Every dollar helps us move one step closer to becoming a family-run home business.
