Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but life has taken an unexpected and heartbreaking turn. Earlier this year, I went into respiratory failure and was placed on life support with a breathing tube for three weeks in a medically induced coma. To save my life, doctors performed a tracheotomy. Since then, I have been in rehabilitation, working hard to recover, but complications with my trach — due to my narrow airways — have made the process long, painful, and uncertain.

Right now, I am completely unable to work. My income has always depended on my ability to speak, and I cannot speak for the foreseeable future. This has left our family without the financial means to cover even the most basic necessities.

My husband has been my greatest support, never leaving my side through the coma, life support, tracheotomy, hospital stays, and rehab. But because he had to take so much time away to care for me, he lost his job. Since March, we’ve used up all of our savings just trying to survive. Now we are facing the terrifying reality of not knowing how we will keep our housing secure or pay for daily living needs.

This is why I am humbly asking for help. Every single donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward keeping a roof over our heads, covering essentials, and giving us some stability as I continue my recovery.
