Our family recently received unexpected news that has completely changed everything for my family, we are expecting identical twin girls
While we are so incredibly grateful, our pregnancy is considered high-risk. The twins are monochorionic-diamniotic, meaning they share one placenta but are in separate sacs. Because of this, there are serious risks that require constant monitoring and specialized care.
Right now, we must travel over an hour away every week for detailed ultrasounds to make sure both babies are growing safely and receiving proper nutrition. As the pregnancy progresses, things may become even more intense.
There is a possibility we may need a life-saving laser procedure to separate the placenta if complications arise. If that happens, my wife could be placed on strict bed rest or even hospitalized at a facility 3 hours away from home.
In addition, the babies may need:
• Early delivery (up to 4 weeks early)
• Blood monitoring and possible in-utero transfusions
• Ongoing specialized medical care
During this time, I may need to miss work regularly to:
• Drive her to frequent appointments
• Care for our other children
• Be present during possible hospital stays
As you can imagine, the emotional and financial stress is overwhelming.
We are asking for support to help cover: • Travel expenses (gas, lodging, meals)
• Lost income from missed work
• Medical-related costs not covered by insurance
• Childcare for our other children
Every donation, no matter how small, helps ease the burden and allows us to focus on what matters most, keeping these two precious baby girls safe and healthy
If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you so much for your love and support during this uncertain time.
