We were having a shower installed in the en-suite of our home. The contractors were there and everything was fine when they left. We came back home about 2-3 hours later to find water coming down from the ceiling saturating portions of the house with water. Our basement carpeting is completely saturated. The wood floors on our main level have been soaked with water as is the same with the carpeting on our main level. Upstairs, the carpeting in our bedroom is partially satured. There may be water under the floor in the en-suite bathroom because the carpeting in the hallway was also wet. Ceilings on the main level are water damaged and there is water in the recessed lighting in the ceiling of our basement.

I can’t tell you how devastating it was to come home and literally see it “raining” in your home. It’s horrific. So much of what you have worked so hard for destroyed so quickly. At this point, we have no water, some electricity is either gone or shut off for safety reasons and there is a possibility the ceiling could fall. Our home is unlivable right now and we will be displaced for quite some time, not sure how long.
