For those of you that know Poll Knowland, you know he has dedicated his entire life to serving his community. As a former superintendent at Table Rock State Park, he worked tirelessly to care for the park and the people who love it. Whether helping visitors, supporting his team, or lending a hand to neighbors in the name of God, my dad has always been there for others, never asking for anything in return.

My dad is bravely fighting stage 4 cancer and is about to undergo an intensive bone marrow transplant. Thankfully, his medical costs are covered by insurance, but my family is facing another challenge. The hospital requires both my mom and me to be by his side around the clock during this month-long hospital stay. We’ll be taking shifts to make sure he’s never alone.

This means neither of us will be able to work during this time, and we’re reaching out for help to cover our basic living expenses — gas, food, and anything else we need while supporting him through this critical stage of treatment.
