UPDATE:

After 5 completed chemotherapy sessions I was able to qualify for the bone marrow transplant. The transplant is to prevent the cancer from coming back in the future, so best chance of cure. The transplant process has been very strenuous and will continue to be. I have been in the hospital since July 3rd and the transplant took place on July 11th. The next few weeks I will remain in the hospital to manage the symptoms and the rejection of the transplant. So far I have had extreme mouth sores that go down into the esophagus which has made it unbearable to eat or drink. This has led to nutrition issues to be handled next. Along with the chemo giving me kidney stones to deal with also.

The transplant has caused a lot of financial issues due to being in the hospital for 30-45 days. We had to put our two small children into daycare and this is a huge unexpected cost. If you are able to donate to this mama we would appreciate it!

Last week was one of the worst weeks of our lives. On Monday, we received a call that I was diagnosed with AML acute myeloid sarcoma leukemia. I had a few procedures last week to determine the progressiveness of the cancer. This week, I began chemo to aggressively attack the cancer as quickly as possible. This will be a very long, hard road, as I will be in the hospital for the next month receiving chemo. This is going to be a difficult time for my girls and husband. Please keep us all in your prayers! Also, FUCK CANCER!

We would like to fundraise to cover some of the additional costs coming our way! Such as childcare or to cover Alex having to miss work for my appointments. We will have to cover additional medications once I am out of the hospital and who knows the out-of-pocket costs for everything!
