Support our family during Colin’s recovery.

Hi, my name is Jamie and I’m raising money to cover expenses following an accident. My partner, Colin, was riding to work on his scooter in the bike lane when a car pulled out of a parking lot and stopped in the middle of the road leaving him with no way to avoid a collision. He has extensive injuries including fractures in his leg, wrist and spine and will be unable to work for at least 6 weeks while he recovers. He works in hospitality and does not have PTO to cover this time off and the majority of his income is from tips. While I do work full time it is not nearly enough to cover all of our finances as a family of 5.

We have a planned move to Baltimore at the end of June and without Colin being able to work both at our current residence and in Baltimore we are going to face significant financial difficulties. The move cannot be pushed back as I have already resigned from my current position and we gave notice at our current rental that we planned to vacate. I have already secured a new position starting in August but we were counting on Colin’s ability to work to make ends meet between my positions.

We are also going to be facing additional unplanned expenses from the accident including medical bills, transportation, childcare and assistance with the move due to Colin not being able to help as he would have due to the physical limitations from his injury.

Colin is an amazing and dedicated father and partner. He is incredibly hard working and was working extra shifts to cover the cost of this move and allow me to spend time with our kids this summer before starting a new job. Any assistance would help ease the stress of him not being able to work and allow him to focus more on his recovery.
