Hi, my name is Derian. I’m 26 years old, and I’m the sole provider for my family. My wife and I have three beautiful children — Chloe, who is 3 years old, Aiden, who is 1, and our newborn, Celine, who is just 8 weeks old.

Recently, our family experienced a devastating fire that started in the boiler room of our home. While we are beyond grateful that everyone is safe, the fire caused extensive smoke damage throughout the entire house. Because of this, we’ve been told that we won’t be able to return home for at least six months while repairs are made.

Although our homeowner’s insurance will cover the cost of the repairs…. our furniture, clothing, and food — has been damaged or lost due to the smoke. We are now faced with the challenge of rebuilding our lives from the ground up while trying to care for our young children.
