Help Us Defend Faith, Service, and Freedom
A Message from Katie Skipper
My husband, 1stLt Schuyler Skipper, is an accomplished 12-year active duty Marine whose career is now on the line. He served his country honorably, but because he chose to stand by his faith, he has been forced into a 4+ year battle for justice.
Originally we were facing a short notice administrative separation, but by the grace of God we were granted an actual discharge BOI which allows us to plead our case. The Marine Corps has approved a Board of Inquiry (BOI), and we have only 30 days to prepare his defense. We are facing the full resources of the military, and we cannot fight them alone.
The Price Paid for Principle
Schuyler stood up for thousands of service members during the COVID-19 mandate. The retaliation has been cruel and specific, showing a continuous administrative effort to push Schuyler out:
❌ Continuous Targeting: The administrative actions didn't stop with the COVID mandate. Schuyler has been denied promotion to Captain twice. The second denial came over his Religious Accommodation Request (RAR) for other required vaccines (specifically Tdap and Flu), proving his faith remains a liability to the command.
❌ Financial Devastation: These two denials of promotion have already cost our family tens of thousands of dollars in lost pay.
❌ Targeted Harassment: He and one other Lieutenant were the only ones given a two-day notice to separate from the service and leave during the initial mandate crisis, an action only halted by a federal judge.
We are already financially strained, and the cost of mounting this BOI defense is immense. Unlike the lawsuit, this final battle requires us to fund the expensive legal defense ourselves.
We Need Your Help Today
We must retain military law expert Davis Younts to ensure Schuyler gets the best defense for this proceeding. Your donation is a direct investment in due process, covering legal fees, expert witnesses, and preparation during this critical 30-day preparatory phase.
This fight is about more than one Marine’s career; it is about setting a binding precedent for every service member who wishes to honor their faith while wearing the uniform.
“This fight has taken an immense emotional and financial toll on our family,” I want you to know. “But we are pursuing this not just for his career, but for every young person who wishes to serve their country without retaliation for their religious convictions. The cost is high, but the principle is everything.”
Please, stand with us. Keep us in your prayers and help us set a precedent for freedom.
