Hi! My name is Delleney, and I'm fundraising on behalf of my parents who are facing overwhelming medical debt. We've reached a point where we simply can't manage this alone, so any help, no matter how small, would mean the whole world to us.

Now, some background about us: My family has been struggling financially for years. When my dad lost his job in 2020, everything slowly fell apart. He eventually found work as a high school science teacher, he absolutely fell in love with it and came home excited to share his silly dramatized stories about school despite making far less than what he made as a Geologist, which did unfortunately result in us never fully recovering financially. We've been trying our best to stay afloat, my brothers and I pitch in whenever we can but it continues to be difficult to manage to live a comfortable life. In more recent times, we've lost our home and now have had to separate to live with friends and family until my dad can figure out his next move to financially support our family.

Recently, my mom has been through an incredibly difficult journey, she tripped on the sidewalk while walking the dog and getting her steps in. She dislocated and broke her ankle in three places, suffering a Trimaleolar ankle fracture. She's had to undergo three separate surgeries–the most recent one caused by an infection in the rod placed in her leg, the screw more specifically. Each surgery has added more medical bills, more recovery time, doctors visits and overall more stress on our family.

We at this moment aren't sure what exactly everything will total, we just know we won't have what we need to cover it. There is no way for them to handle these costs alone.
