This March, our team of 12 optometry students and doctors from Pacific University will travel to Costa Rica with AMIGOS Eye Care, a student-led nonprofit affiliated with VOSH International, to provide free eye care to displaced Nicaraguan immigrants and Indigenous communities with limited access to vision services. Our mission is to deliver free, quality eye care to underserved populations around the world.

On this trip, we will offer comprehensive eye exams, fit patients with glasses, and partner with local ophthalmologists to help establish sustainable, long-term care.

We are grateful to have received donated glasses and diagnostic tools. However, while our team is volunteering our time, we rely on fundraising to help each student cover travel, lodging, medical supplies, and the cost of the glasses we’ll provide at no charge to patients. Your support directly makes this mission possible.
