If you have been looking for ways to support the people of Ukraine directly, please help Hey Joy Toys and the 12 Ukraine-based employees who run our company from locations throughout Western and Central Ukraine, including Kyiv. Our Ukraine-based team is responsible for much of the company’s buying, marketing, operations, and accounting functions, and while they have so far avoided the constant attacks being reported on in the South and East of Ukraine, their lives – and those of family and friends – have been upended.
Our team is continuing to operate the company, at times from basements and bomb shelters, to ensure our livelihoods in the immediate and medium-term. We are also focused on supporting our business partners and suppliers, many of whom have lost manufacturing and distribution facilities to shelling and fire.

Two brands can also be purchased directly online at wiseelk.us and artwille.us. If you’d like to donate, funds raised will go toward supporting Hey Joy’s 12 Ukraine-based employees, relocating Kyiv-based employees to safer parts of Ukraine, and making pre-payments to Hey Joy’s local partners in product design, private-label toy and candy manufacturing, and equipment design and manufacturing, who together employ more than 1,000 individuals in Ukraine.
About Hey Joy Toys
Hey Joy was launched in 2020 with the opening of a fun, modern store in Mall of America. Hey Joy’s Ukrainian and American founders wanted to fill the gap left by the closing of Toys ‘R Us and other American toy retailers, and bring Ukrainian-made toys and candy to the U.S. They opened two additional stores last year in popular malls in Long Island, NY, and Orlando, FL, with plans for several addition stores in the coming year(s). In addition to traditional global toy brands, Hey Joy offers Ukrainian-made brands including Wise Elk, Cubika, Artwille and Yummy Joy. The store equipment and displays, designs and more are all developed and created in Ukraine.
Prior to opening their own retail stores, the founders of Hey Joy began selling their most popular brands (Wise Elk and Artwille) online and through U.S.-based retailers in 2016. These products and more can be found at Nordstrom, Barnes and Noble, and over 1,000 U.S. retailers today.
