Supporting our director personally

Kate Cernin was the Director of North Park Community Preschool for over twenty-nine years. Her experience, and passion for excellence are the drive that transformed our constantly blossoming preschool into what it is today. She has commanded a dedicated role in the community by setting the standard and implementing the tools that allow our tender youths to grow into thriving, compassionate, innovative, community-minded and unique adults. Her reputation in child development has always been and continues to be impeccable. Her loyalty and commitment to her staff, parents and children has left lasting relationships with strong foundations of trust, integrity, and love. She is deserving of recognition for her service and devotion to the families of North Park and childcare community.

Unfortunately, due to an unhealthy relationship with those in direct positions of power within our organization, Kate had been forced to seek new employment. As her staff, we are devastated at the possibility of her well earned reputation being tarnished, and are looking to our community to assist her in navigating this trying transition. Her staff and many parents of her pupils feel she was treated unfairly by our management. We are reaching out to our neighbors, friends, acquaintances, loved ones and community in hopes of supporting Kate with her personal affairs during this time.

We are choosing to advocate for Kate with action, optimism, and unity in the face of injustice.
