Support our dearest friend, Marianne

Donation protected
We are Vicky, Kelly & Sarah and we are writing this and putting this out there to help and support our dearest friend, Marianne Joslin.

On the 4th October 2023 Marianne discovered a lump in one of her breasts and visited her GP which they then, after an examination and ultrasound found a 6mm cyst in which this was drained on the 10th October. Marianne was advised to keep an eye on it.

March 2024 Marianne felt the lump returning and growing and changing but did not think much of it and thought it was the cyst again. In June time she visited her GP again as she was experiencing shooting pains in the area. She was referred immediately to North Tyneside Hospital for a mammogram, ultrasound and bloods taken and was advised it maybe cancerous as she had a 4-5cm lump and to prepare herself for the worst.

Sadly, on Wednesday 3rd July North Tyneside Hospital confirmed Marianne had breast cancer, Invasive ductal carcinoma HER2 positive grade 2. We all received the devastating news from Marianne which broke our hearts.

Marianne was then advised thankfully the cancer had not spread and was solely in her right breast and told she has to undergo 8 sessions of chemotherapy in attempt to shrink the cancer and possibly a lumpectomy to come later, which we are still unsure of at this moment in time.

Marianne has since been told that this will massively affect her fertility which again is devastating news for her and another blow. She is currently looking into preservation of her eggs but has had a set back due to the biomedicine wing being closed temporarily.

Since then, Marianne has been advised they are reducing her chemo session down to 6 which is great news and she begins her treatment Tuesday 23rd July 2024. This is going to be a long and tough journey for her and her gorgeous son, Finlay. We are asking kindly if you can please spare a small donation to support her along the way. Marianne will be unable to work during the process and as you can imagine money struggles on top of what she is already having to endure is going to be so hard. Marianne will 100% lose all of her gorgeous hair which is, for anyone absolutely heartbreaking and we would love to enable her to buy a wig and things to help her with this process. We really do appreciate any help you can give to support her and her son through this time.

Marianne is hoping to create a blog of her whole experience which she will be sharing with you all to raise awareness and show the true brutality of this awful disease.

Thank you xxx
