Those of us who have the pleasure of knowing Linda McLaren can all relate a time she brought joy into our lives, supported us with TLC, or rolled up her sleeves and helped us with a problem.
Truth is that Linda is one of the "helpers" Mr. Rogers tells us to look for in a crisis. She was a nurse and healthcare administrator, then went back to school at Vancouver School of Theology to earn her Master of Divinity and to serve as a United Church Minister.
The wildfire in Jasper had devastating consequences for our friend. Not only did the church where she serves burn to the ground, the manse where she lived burned completely as well, with almost all of her worldly possessions in it. It is a blessing that Linda and her dear cat made it out safely.
Listen to an interview with Linda, here:
Raising these funds with Linda will give her a little breathing room to discern where God is calling her next. Please give what you are able to give her a little ease and comfort in the next few months.
Your prayers words of encouragement are also very welcome here, whether or not you finances allow you to contribute at this time.
GoFundMe is asking me to tell you about me, Lauren Aldred. I knew Linda in Northern Health in Prince George and we met up again at Vancouver School of Theology. Kathy Yeulet, Kendra Mitchell-Foster and I want to support Linda the best we are able.
