Support Our Dear Friend, Janis Fish

Our dear friend, Janis Fish, has been diagnosed with breast cancer this month (2/24). Many of you know Janis in various circles, from Portland Samba to Women's Temple at Lajja Yoga to the many different women's communities that she contributes to on-line. She is a community builder, yoga therapist and Yoga 4 Your Nervous System facilitator, mother, sister and fierce devotee of the Divine Feminine.

She has supported and promoted many of our works and projects; she has introduced many of us to amazing teachers and to each other, and she also sucks at asking for help for herself.

This is where we come in. Janis is still early in this process of educating herself about her diagnosis and seeking the most appropriate care, but as a working woman without benefits or a trust fund, we, her friends want to defray some of the financial burdens so that she doesn't have to work (as much) throughout her treatment process.

If you have been touched by Janis' energy and spirit in any way, let's show her love and care in this time of uncertainty and change.
