Our family recently welcomed our newest baby girl into the world much earlier than expected. She was born extremely premature at just 24 weeks and is currently fighting hard in the NICU. Shortly after birth, she developed a serious intestinal complication that required emergency treatment and a transfer to a higher level NICU for specialized care. She is now receiving treatment, antibiotics, and close monitoring as the doctors help her tiny body heal. While we are hopeful and grateful for the amazing medical team caring for her, this has been an incredibly difficult and emotional time for our family. Our baby is currently in the NICU about 35 minutes from our home. Between frequent hospital visits, recovery from my C-section, caring for our other children, and the uncertainty of how long our daughter will need intensive care, the financial and logistical strain is quickly adding up. We created this fundraiser simply to help with the unexpected costs that come with a long NICU stay, including gas for frequent hospital visits, meals while at the hospital, childcare and household needs for our other children, and medical and baby supplies when she is able to come home. We know times are hard for many people, so please know that donatations are greatly appreciated but also know that prayers, kind words, and sharing our story mean just as much as donations. So if you can’t donate we ask you to share our daughters story and pray for her.If you would prefer to help in another way, we will also created a small wishlist for practical items and gift cards. This is the link for that list https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/ZQ37FF1JRHGN?ref_=wl_share
Our daughter is a fighter, and we are taking this one day at a time while supporting her through every step of this journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support, encouragement, or prayers during this time. It truly means more than we can put into words.
