Please help us help our girl. Our daughter is in liver failure and being tested for a transplant. In the meantime, only one of us can work as she needs someone with her around the clock. We’re going to have to travel to the transplant hospital in Philly at least once a week while navigating this new part of our lives. As I am sure with many transplant patients, there is one step forward and two steps back. There’s medication that costs upwards of $1,000. More testing for Wilson’s Disease, but she is not strong enough for a biopsy right now since, among other things, she is recovering from hepatic encephalopathy.

As many of you know, she is a kind, giving woman who would give her last cent to someone. She would take care of anyone and has. She’s also funny and FUN. She’s the kind of person that you want to be around. The kind of person that will stand up for others. Even in the hospital last week, extremely ill, her main concern was showing gratitude to the nurses, doctors, techs, and every person she came in contact with. She has so much good to offer this world. We just want to be able to support her any way we can.
