Help Our Dancers Say YES to an America’s Got Talent Opportunity

Hi, I’m Nichole Long, also known as That Crazy Dance Mom, and I’m the Board President of The Dance Project NW Foundation.

We recently found out that The Dance Project NW was given an incredible opportunity to attend an in person audition for America’s Got Talent in Northern California. Opportunities like this move fast, and when they come, you don’t hesitate. You say yes.

We know this is not the final stage. The biggest moments happen later, in front of some very famous judges. But this step matters. This is one of the closest opportunities to get there, and BOY are we trying.

A select group of dancers was intentionally chosen by the studio to represent our dancers, our training, and our values. Our goal now is to make sure that every dancer who is invited can confidently say yes as well.

That is where this fundraiser comes in. This GoFundMe is designed to help underwrite the cost of travel, lodging, meals, and supervision so finances do not stand in the way of an opportunity that could be life changing.

Why We’re Fundraising

The estimated cost to transport, house, feed, and supervise dancers for this in person audition is $215 per dancer, which includes travel, lodging, meals, and an AGT tee shirt. There are also costs associated with attending staff and supervision.

We are raising $10,000 to help cover the following:

• Transportation via passenger vans

• Shared hotel accommodations

• Group meals during travel

• Required supervision and staff support

• Apparel and logistics tied to the audition experience

This fundraiser helps reduce the financial burden on families and ensures that this opportunity remains accessible to those selected to participate.

Why This Matters

These dancers have spent years training. They show up early, stay late, support one another, and believe in something bigger than themselves. Standing on an AGT stage may not be guaranteed, but the chance to try, to be seen, and to grow from the experience is priceless.

This audition isn’t just about a performance.

It’s about confidence. Exposure. Opportunity.

It’s about telling young artists that their dreams are worth chasing.

What Happens If We Raise More Than Needed

Any funds raised beyond what is needed for this AGT audition will be used in one of two ways:

• To support future travel if the dancers advance further in the AGT process

• To support the TDPNW Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization created to financially empower children in our community to dance
