Honoring Our Dad
Donation protected
UPDATE:
With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved father, Paul, passed away on February 27th. He was a wonderful man—kind, funny, and full of love for his family. His strength and warmth touched so many lives, and we are heartbroken by this loss.
Funds raised will continue to go toward the ambulance transfer, travel expenses, and now his Celebration of Life. Any additional funds will be donated to Vanderbilt’s AML Oncology department, in his honor.
We will share service details as soon as they are available.
Thank you all for your love and support during this difficult time.
Help Us Support Our Dad’s Fight Against AML
Our dad is a fighter. On January 19th, he suffered a devastating medical emergency—a fall at home that left him with a lacerated liver. Miraculously, he survived two surgeries and fought his way through recovery. But as his body struggled to heal, his rare blood cancer, Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), began to accelerate.
My sisters, Brittany, Heather, and I refused to give up. We searched tirelessly for the best possible care and found hope at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN—a nationally recognized center of excellence for AML. We were incredibly fortunate to secure an appointment with one of the top specialists in the country, giving our dad the best chance at fighting this aggressive disease.
However, getting him there was no easy task. Due to his fragile condition, the only option was to hire a private ambulance to transfer him from Orlando to Nashville—a necessary but incredibly costly decision. We have also been traveling back and forth to be by his side every step of the way. He has now been in the hospital for over 40 days, and we haven’t left him for a moment.
We are asking for support to help cover:
• The cost of the private ambulance transfer
• Travel expenses to remain by his side
Any excess funds will be used to assist with ongoing expenses, and if possible, we will donate any remaining funds to Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s MDS/AML Oncology Department in gratitude for the compassionate and expert care they have provided our father. Should he lose his battle, we will also use the funds to help cover services.
This has been the hardest journey of our lives, but we are endlessly grateful for the love, support, and generosity of those around us. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in ensuring that our dad continues to receive the best possible care.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our fight.
With love,
Courtney, Brittany & Heather
