We are Favian(Daughter) & Nazaret(Mom) owners of The Wine Garden at 5019 Baltimore Ave. Our space has been a gathering place for friends, family, and neighbors. We have been operating for the past 7 years, but were closed last season. We just reopened our doors last week after remodeling. A fire damaged our wine garden, leaving us heartbroken but determined to rebuild.

On 9/3/25 a fire broke out and caused significant damage to our beloved space. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the garden itself suffered damage. What was once a warm, inviting gathering place is now in need of major repair before we can safely reopen our doors.

The countries only Black woman-owned wine garden. We are a seasonal outdoor urban oasis, serving specialty cocktails and a selection of wines from all over the world. We offer curated events on and offsite such as paint n sips, Taco Tuesdays, weekend brunches, happy hours and wine tastings ideal for birthday and graduation parties, bridal and baby showers.

The Wine Garden has always been about more than wine, it’s about people. It’s where neighbors meet for the first time, birthdays are celebrated, where artists perform, vendors sell, and where memories are created. Losing this space is not just my personal loss, but a loss to the community we’ve all built together.

I’m turning to you for help in rebuilding and reopening The Wine Garden. Donations will go directly toward:

• Restoring the garden so it’s safe, beautiful, and welcoming again
